NOx diesel
The NOx sensor is mounted in the exhaust with the NOx catalytic converter and measures the NOX value (NOX is created during a (high temperature) combustion process), from 1999 the EURO 3 emission standard for M1 vehicles (passenger cars) has come into force in the European Union. From that time, a diesel was allowed to emit a maximum of 0.50 NOx, from Euro 4 this has been reduced to 0.25 NOx, Euro 5 0.18 NOx and Euro 6 0.08 NOX. With a diesel, the NOx sensor works together with the Adblue system, depending on measured NOx catalysts, the Adblue projector injects more or less Adblue.
